Launching its 2nd year, The Perfumed Plume Awards for Fragrance Journalism has announced that submissions will be accepted at www.perfumedplume.com starting November 1 through January 31, 2017. The awards showcase writers whose 2016 published editorials or books provide a broader awareness and appreciation for fragrance through informative and entertaining “scent-centric” stories. Six winners will be presented with a check for $1,000 each and a symbolic, elegant Cross pen. The awards celebration will take place on Thursday, April 6, 2017. Stay tuned as further details are announced. Mary Ellen Lapsansky, co-founder, Perfumed Plume, LLC, says: “Our first year was such a great success. We are so very proud of the award-worthy submissions received from many high-quality writers.” According to Lapsansky, six “amazing, talented, creative” journalists/editors/fragrance authorities were recognized and rewarded for their winning scent stories at the awards party held at the prestigious Rizzoli bookstore this past April. “Without a doubt, the Perfume Plume Awards can look forward to a bright second year,” comments Westly Morris, senior vice president – Fine Fragrance at MANE and founding sponsor. “The awards shine a spotlight on gifted writers whose brilliant story-telling abilities inspire the consumer to a new-found appreciation of fragrance in all its many facets.” Beauty Packaging magazine is the media sponsor of The Perfumed Plume Awards.
